I mean, it's not like you can do anything about it now. Look what happened to me last year. I'm sorry that happened. The best you can do is be glad you don't have to be there for all those rehearsals, and put effort into doing something bigger during Christmas or next semester. He knows you've always been shy about big roles, maybe this time he thought he'd give you a break, but now you want something better. So let him know.
