I have a co-moderator for my Yahoo Group, and I think there is a lot they can do. Are you sure you can't at least delete the spammer's posts? I hope so. I made my Yahoo Groups so that only group members could post, and I only allow people in who I think are not spammers. It's the only way I could keep spam out. It's frustrating, for sure. Too bad the original owner is long gone from your group.
I can delete the spammer's posts, but the problem is that they ARE members posting. I'd spend hours a day just deleting their memberships. They post just to spam... with pronny-sounding names.
Unfortunately, as a co-mod, I don't have the ability to moderate who joins the group. That seems to be something that only the main mod can do.
I thought you might enjoy this ff.net summary I just saw:
When the Fellowship is suddenly landed in Middle-Earth, how will they get back? Then, Aragorn is gravely injured, and the police are hot on their trail. How will Spica and her best friend Vega ever get the endangered Fellowship back where they belong?
Okay, sadly, that summary encouraged me to look at the story, and I read the chapter wherein Aragorn is shot by a bullet. However, I can't say I read the rest of the story... just the part with Legolas providing comfort, lol, to the injured Aragorn. My eyes pretty much skipped the Spica and Vega parts.
I am THAT desperate for Aragorn h/c. It's very sad.
