Happy Belated Birthday, febobe!!! I hope it was very special for you---maybe homemade goodies or a visit to Cracker Barrel? Or a lovely food tray filled with all the comfort foods of home? Mac and cheese---that's what my tray would have on it! Oh, and let's not forget fried chicken ( Read more... )

I haven't thought about Chicago and APA style in several years... and they used to rule my life! I hope hope hope all your hard work and experience pay off (big) for you.

I love a Lily post!!!! My gosh, that test for that editing company sounds brutal!

(It reminds me of the days back in 2007 when I was doing writing for an online company that involved research and proper APA, etc., and I was so stressed and pulling super late nights!)

M. is like you on that food front! He gets something in his head and he wants to eat it every single day for awhile. And he has the taste of a five-year-old child sometimes (can you say chicken nuggets? Ugh! :-/). Right now it's big macs from mcdonald's. I don't really like anything there so I don't eat when he does, but I'll steal some of the fries! As for stuff at home, I've been on a soup kick, even though it's summer! I make a brothy soup, add a bunch of vegetables, add an egg maybe, some vinegar, soy sauce, and hot chili to make it taste like hot and sour soup. I could eat that almost every day! Your tostada snack sounds very delicious! Some time last year I made tacos made out of vegetarian refried beans, avocado, cabbage, pico de gallo, and salsa, they were

Congrats on getting through that awful test. Ugh. I sometimes think an editing job would be good, but then I realize how much tedium is involved and know that it's not for me.

re: food. I'm the same way when I find something I like. Right now, and in fact, all summer, breakfast every morning is french vanilla yogurt with blueberries+whatever other berry is in season and a big handful of Kimberly's Bake Shoppe granola that I get at Sam's. In fact, I'm about to go fix myself some as soon as I'm done here. :D

WO HO! Congratulations on passing the test! You must have been ready to drop after finishing it. Keeping all my fingers crossed you get all the four jobs, and get lots of money from them.

I don't mind eating food I love very often either.

Thank you so much! This delighted me...I'm so glad you remembered where I drew Counterpane's title and poetry snippets from. <3 Thank you so much for the wonderful wishes and perfect pic! :)

We spent my birthday luncheon at Moonlite BBQ, the most hobbity place to eat ever...a buffet with tons of country-style veggies, a delightful Kentucky stew/soup called burgoo, and a little barbecue, a salad bar, and desserts. :) We stuffed ourselves pretty well. And then we ate AGAIN at supper at Tokyo Teppanyaki, a hibachi grill place. Cracker Barrel was the next day, though. ;)
