Well, I finished editing my book on climate change this past week, and I've been dead to the world lately when I'm not working, it seems. I'm finally feeling less sleep-deprived. However, it's gotten cold here (for us), and man, do I feel lethargic in cold weather. I can seriously go to bed at 9:00 at night when it's cold and not get up in the ( Read more... )

I'm positively paralyzed when it gets too cold. I can understand your lethargy!

Lily, your posts are NEVER boring. I love them.

Oh wow, making 'period' doll shoes would be a challenge, I think. Let us know how it goes! Your clothes are wonderful.

I think you're very lucky in that you live in a place that never gets too terribly cold---am I right? Of course, not that I have a lot to complain about here, either... but I'm a wimp. :)

Thank you! And yes, the shoes would be a real challenge... but I have found various tutorials on the web, though not for the type of shoes I'm creating. Still... at least leather on Ebay is not too expensive, for the thin type. *HUGS*

No, it doesn't get terribly cold here. In December and January, night temps can go down to the low-30's, but I've lived in San Diego for 35 years and it hasn't snowed here yet!

Your grumpies look very cute in their new, lovely clothes.

I bet your house is going to look good after you and your brother are done with it.

Thank you! My stash of doll fabrics is quite embarrassing, now.

I will post photos of the house... before and after. ANYTHING right now is an improvement, it's so awful.

The climate change book was utterly, terribly, most horrifically horrible! It was actually about sustainable economics to reduce carbon emissions and the entire thing was techno-babble about "if Generation t contains an Ethical Observer sustainable utilitarian with an x + y=4 to the nth power..." etc., etc. and full of proofs, theorems, and math equations.

*shudders*

No, I'm definitely more boring! I win!!!

WOW! I am heavily invested in the global warming issue. I am so impressed that you've written a book about it. People here...ranchers....are completely in denial and continue to sap our limited resources. It's wonderful to find a fellow tree hugger..You go girl!
