My thorn was the whole Arwen riding with Frodo in the flight to the ford scene! And the lack of Aragorn hugging Frodo in the Houses of Healing! But yes, I soooo expected the pendant, since they were making such a HUGE deal out of it throughout the trilogy, to ultimately go to Frodo!

Yes, the HUG!! OMG, why didn't we get that? And the pendant would have worked so well to tie it all in beautifully.

My thorn is always Elrond. Always. I'm glad they made him a little more in character in the Hobbit movies, but ugh. I do not like his portrayal in LOTR.

What did you not like? I wasn't crazy about his attitude toward humans... or Aragorn. Or his negativity, either. He wasn't "kind as summer."

My biggest bubear is leaving out Faramir hailing Aragorn as King in the HOH.I thought Frodo should have got the pendant too.

Oh yes---the Faramir healing scene in the extended edition was WAY too short---blink and it's gone!

I still mute Elrond's inane "You shall be the Fellowship of the Ring!"
