Red attracted the attention of the blood demons, who would inflict untold suffering upon all who walked here if only given the chance. The woman in red ( Read more... )

Very interesting world you have here. I love the idea of time travel. It opens so many possibilities. Lyra seems like a pretty level headed girl. I wonder if the idea Camille planted in her head will take hold.

Thank you! I'm having fun with the world building for this one, and Lyra's an interesting enough character to carry it. She's got enough of a curious streak that the idea may start growing.

Oh, I like this. The world is definitely interesting and the characters kept me involved. Certainly wanted to know more of what was going on, too. :)

Thank you! I did call this the never-ending story during writing, so there is still more out there. Plus, I want to write about these characters even when there is no plot. :)

I love this in so many ways. Well done time travel holds a special place in my heart, and this was awesome - the way you set the scene with in the market right away was perfect. I will admit that I kept renaming "Camille" to "Carmen", so I could think of this as "When in the world is Carmen Sandiego" but, um, I'm kind of a dork. Awesome stuff. :)

Thanks! I have so much fun with time travel stories, but they require a bit of restraint so that I don't get all tangled up.

Actually, this started off as a Carmen Sandiego story. :D

This was a really interesting invention-- not at all what I would have thought of for this prompt, which made it even better!

Now, of course, I want to know what Camille was about to say. Something sinister, I'll bet!

Thank you! I'm glad I actually achieved creativity with this one. And, yes, something sinister. :)

YAY, TIME TRAVEL! This was a really fun read and sorta reminded me of my fave Voyager episode ever. I also love the details you added about the agency's gadgets and protocols.

Thank you! Maybe Voyager is something that I should actually, well, watch sometime. I keep coming up with more protocols about the time agency, which is a sign that I need to write more about this.
