Hey! If it's just a windshield chip (or it looks a bit like a small spider web) you can buy a kit at walmart or pep boys that will allow you to fix it yourself. It'll still look ugly but it won't grow!

My insurance didn't cover my windshield crack either. It grew across the entire windshield and now I look like white trash driving along...

I suggest you invest in a punching bag..or you can borrow mine, I don't really use it accept to take a swing or two as I walk by.

As far as glass coverage goes, it varies by state, not so much insurance. In Mass, it is the law for all insurance to have full glass coverage. In CT it is not required, and you must choose it when you pick your coverages. I chose a $500 deductible WITH full glass coverage for mine. Chances are when you or your parents chose your plan, it was optional and the decision was made that it might not be necessary. It adds a few bucks to your premium...but personally I think it's worth it...when you come down to CT at any rate you can make that choice.
