When he walked into the room, he set it on fire. I wanted him like I've never wanted a man. I was sure of it. I felt it in my bones. I never made a mistake when it came to spontaneous internal combustion. I knew that he was the one....then she followed him right in. On afterthought....

I really enjoyed reading this. Although yes, it could have turned out very badly. Thankfully it didn't.

It could have ended in rape, death, all kinds of mayhem, but I got lucky, real lucky.

I liked this post--well written and brutally honest. I have also gone against my better judgment and trusted a guy, wondering if it would end with me in a ditch, but it worked out fine. :) I still don't know if my instincts were good or if I was just lucky. And now I am about to trust someone again...

You know, I would live it to the fullest because if it doesn't work out you'd have had fun while it lasted. If you worry too much, you suck out the fun and sometimes perpetuate the bad things to happen, like a self-fulfilling prophecy. I really, really believe in the live for today mentality. I don't always make it, but I try because if I didn't my life wouldn't be as close to my vision of perfect as it is.

And it doesn't matter if it was luck or guts, the end is the same and hopefully that means you very, very, happy. :)

It has, but it is tempered with some rule following. There've been lessons learned, trust me. ;)

I'm hoping "wow" means good and not the opposite. :)

Nope. You got it right the first time.

The first thing I did after reading this was send the link to my wife, who really loved it.
