250 g wild rice
1/2 head broccoli
1 medium sized white onion
3 or 4 cloves garlic
1/2 lime
some walnuts
a whole bunch of black pepper
a whole bunch of "english style" curry powder
some balsamic vinegar
a bit of olive oil
cooked the rice in a bit more than a liter of water, as directed on package.
sauteed half of the garlic (minced) and the onion (diced) in olive oil, til the onions were sort of soft. removed from pan and set aside in a bowl. sauteed the broccoli (diced, stem too) and the rest of the garlic. when the rice was done, added the veggies to it and mixed. also added a bunch of walnuts (chopped), pepper, curry, balsamic vinegar. squeezed in the lime, and added some of the little limey bits in when i was done squeezing.
tastes good warm or cold, also good with some parmesan cheese grated on top. but i couldnt find the grater til it had all been eaten.
