Normally, I do like a good little graphic artist and scan the original files as 400dpi TIFF files then shrink them down to JPEG or PNG before I put them online. But tonight, since ( Read more... )

Yeah normally the only way to view Tiffs is to open them through Photoshop. The first one there, winter2009_022.tif is really nice. I like the shading a lot. Kinda reminds me of how Adam Hughes does his linework before colouring.

You know...I've kinda been on a Adam Hughes/Mucha/Soraya Saga binge as far artbooking. That might why that looks like that X_x;

I don't mean it like it's a bad thing or anything like that... but I do like that style of shading the skin and leaving the clothes and hair open. It's something that I would like to try myself as well.

I'll have to find a way to make my computer see the .tiff files, but the sketches make me so happy -- in part because your love for Xenogears remains true! (We just started yet another playthrough for the benefit of hunterandhunted, who was in elementary school when the game came out.) As I've said before, your art always makes me so happy! Thank you for sharing~

Man I love your artwork. The weight of the figures, the lines... it's gorgeous.

And god I love the Kevin is a Dick series. XD

I just get all sorts of happy when I see you sketches. I love how dynamic some of the poses are and your lines are so damn awesome :3

Out of curiosity do you base your poses on references or do they just pop in your head?

Thanks! As for the poses, for the most part I draw from my head... Though, I've been told and I've read I'd probably be better off using reference. Thing is, I don't have anyone to model for me :(
