In February, right after Valentine's day, one of my dogs got sick. Actually, both of them got sick, but one was a lot worse than the other. Suzy injured her back and couldn't walk for a few days. Why is it when I exercise I don't lose weight, I actually gain it? My weight loss is still happening, but it's been slowing down lately, so I decided yesterday to get off my ass and finally start exercising. I went to a resturant tonight for the first time since my surgery. I thought I'd be able to eat about half of the food on my plate and bring the other half home. I think I ate maybe a quarter of the food. It's so weird, but in a good way. How do you know when you've lost a friend to scrabble? Is it possible for a hard core scrabble player to be friends with a non-scrabble player?

I had my gastric bypass surgery on Monday, October 8. I had to fast for three days prior to my surgery, so starting on Friday I was on clear liquids.  They include sugar free jello, sugar free popsicles, low sodium broth, and no sugar added apple juice.  I could also drink crystal light.  It was tough, but not as bad as I thought it was going to ( Read more... )

It's strange the way people react when I tell them I'm having gastric bypass surgery. A lot of people are very supportive even though they worry about me going through the surgery process.
