Oh, I'm not arguing the price tag. I think I've already paid at least that much in renewals and additional icon/storage space just in the three years I've been here.

I just think it was very poor marketing strategy to put that offer out while people are in an uproar over the current changes.

Both my boys have a Myspace. Just to prove a point I created a dummy account with false information and a pic of my pretty, blond cousin when she was a teenager. I friended them and chatted them up for a bit. After a bit I sat them both down and revealed that they had been talking to me. Yeah, it was sneaky and they were both embarassed, but now they know you can *never* be too careful about who you talk to online. They may not be who they say they are. Luckily, both boys had actually been pretty well behaved while the fake me was talking to them.

Isn't it? What the hell where the 'designers' doing during those hundreds of hours? Playing Crisis Core? Guitar Hero? Crap. My 13 year old could come up with something like this in about 45 minutes.

I'm starting to feel better.
The symptoms aren't nearly as irritating as they were before.
The fatigue has *really* eased up...thank goodness!

Is your back still giving you a lot of grief?

Yes, unfortunately. The pain meds aren't helping much, either. I've been on leave from work for the past week because it was becoming unbearable to do all the walking, stooping, bending, etc. I have to do. Not to mention I kept stumbling and falling from the stabbing like pain in the hip and leg

thank god, i thought i was alone in HATING the new profile layout. what a piece of crap it is... the first few times i thought it was actually the result of IE spazzing out the way it does with deviantart and gives you a simplified page (i always use Fire Fox with it now).

No, it's not just you and me. I read the comments in the LJ news comm. There have been hundreds upon hundreds of protests against the new page. But I don't have much hope of them changing it back or allowing us the option. One person commented in another's journal that she had been one of the beta testers and had vehemently protested it along with others during the assessment period. It seems that if the LJ team didn't listen then they probably won't listen now.
