Goodbye, my Phantom

I woke up this morning to find my Phantom curled up on his favorite rug. I reached down to pet him only to find he was gone, still warm and soft...but gone. Goodbye, my baby. You gave me fourteen years of love and happiness.

Oh sweetie. *hugs* It's always so hard to lose our furry 'kids' because of the unconditional love they give. He was a beautiful cat and I'm sure had a very happy life. I know he certainly had a loving home with you.

Thank you. Yes, he was very spoiled and much loved. It's just very shocking because he hadn't been sick or acting any different. Just roly poly ole chunky boy. If Bast wills he simply fell asleep and woke in another place.

Thank you. He was my special, my familiar and it will hurt for a long while. But, yes, there are sooo many pictures of him over all these years.

I'm glad he never got sick or had to suffer in any way, but the suddenness has torn my heart.

I'm so sorry, sweetie. *hugs tightly*

He had a long and happy life with you and it sounds like he passed in the best possible way - quietly in his home surrounded by the people and things that he loved.

Thank you. He was my sweet baby since I picked him out as a six week old puff of smoke. The suddenness is shocking and hurtful, but he was never sick or in pain.
