The room was dark, and I sat on my bed, forgetting that I had just placed my glasses there. And the frames snapped in half, right down the middle. :( At least I have my old frames, and the prescription is very similar. But still . . . that sucks. :/

I've done similar before, except I had fallan asleep with them in bed with me, and in the morning I roll over and hear the snap while waking up :( Unfortunately there is no LensCrafters in the area for glasses in an hour, but I got glasses from Sears just a few weeks ago and got them in 6 days.

Cool. Well, my prescription is good until Dec 08 (two years, right?) but I think I might just get a new prescription in the near future. Like in October, when my new insurance kicks in. Until then, I think I might just wear my old ones. I can almost see just as well.

Cool. I believe a script is good for two years. Just check out deals around (oneline for certain places) as it might be cheaper to get the deal than for your insurance. It also depends on cash on hand and when the money is available mostly. I just got new ones since we did ahve the money in Flex Spending and I needed to get mine checked anyway.

*sad* For that reason, I NEVER take my glasses off without putting them in their case anymore. I lost my old glasses for MONTHS and didn't have a backup pair :/ So now I put my glasses in their hard and bright red case and I lose them much less frequently. :/
