Well today Mickel and I went to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is Vlissingen. I thought it would be good an I wasn't disappointed.
We were a bit lucky in a way. Since they have the English version and the Dutch version here, a lot of the noisy kids went to see the Dutch version. Bwhahahaha! So I thought the beginning was a bit odd but it started similar as in the book. With it being a warm summer and all. The dementors did look more scary than in the 3rd movie though. They did put Mrs. Figg in the movie at least though I don't believe she said she was a squib or so.
Then after the Dursley's took Dudley to the hospital the Order came to get Harry. For some reason they decided to fly where on the river where anyone and everyone can see them lol. Sirius' house was different than I imagined. I thought it was more in a bad neighborhood. They didn't really describe the secret keeper process, the house just appeared. But no big deal. The inside of the house was exactly what I imagined! Dark and creepy with the old paper and lamps. Kreacher was absolutely creepy as well!
The hearing was the next part. I loved the Ministry of Magic look and feel! It was perfect hehe. The hearing scene was good as well. Dumbledore didn't look at Harry the whole time.
I loved Umbridge or actually I hated her. Loved to hate whatever. She did a wonderful job of bringing back the hatred of Umbridge one of the best villains ever! I also loved Luna! What a great actress, she so was Luna! I loved loved her! And I also liked the interaction between her and Harry. The thestrals looked wonderful. They were as good as Buckbeak in the 3rd movie.
I loved the Snape scenes as well. Though the memory from Snape was like 5 seconds. I didn't even see Lily! That was probably the biggest disappointment from the movie. They could have made it 2 minutes or so geesh! The ending was cool. I liked how the DeathEaters kept swooshing everywhere. It actually made them look like a force not to be reckoned with, whereas in the book I didn't get that feeling. They seemed weak in the book which I don't know how that could be. So I kind of liked it better than the book in a way. Lol. Lucius was all evil and sneering, and the actress who played Bellatrix did wonderful. She even looks exactly how I imagine her! She's actually the girlfriend of Tim Burton which is kind of cool.
I liked how they made Ralph Fiennes seem more evil as Voldermort. The fight between him and Dumbledore was like whoah! Micheal Gambon is an ok Dumbledore but he certainly isn't as cheerful as I imagine Dumbledore. And he never has read the books either! Grr. Why do actors do that anyway? Richard Harris didn't either.
But that's my review of the movie. I realize I was moving back and forth there. I hope you could keep up.
In short, I believe it's the best one yet followed by the third movie. I'm glad the same director is doing the next movie and hopefully the 7th as well. :)
