rant entry!!!

You know what really pisses me off? People who say that if you don't love America, then you should just leave. Fuck you! Wouldn't Bush and his cronies love it if everyone thought like that? Then they could have even more free rein to do whatever the fuck they want too!! It's probably because of people and attitudes like that that let them get ( Read more... )

That there is! And it really is sad. Maybe America really was once a land of opportunity and freedom. I feel like those days are long gone, no one believes in the American dream anymore. Everyone there is just living day to day, trying to get by. Some might say that it's better than other countries, and maybe that is so but America really could be so much more.

When I said some countries, I was referring to third world countries. Though it's not much better in some ways since factories keep moving to those third world countries, thereby America is becoming one. And by having too much debt as well.

Exactly! The American people are generally pretty great, but I hate the government!! I have a feeling it's all corrupt. I guess everyone has a right to their own opinion though, funny that most conservatives wouldn't give me the same freedom. I mean, just look at Bush's administration! People are slowly losing more and more freedom. You can't even fucking protest anymore. They'll move you to a more quiet zone where you are not bothering others with your radical views.

I just hate how they are throwing her comment all out of proportion. I'm sure she totally hates America, that's why her husband is running for President so he can totally ruin it some more! Haha. Republicans always play that we are so proud of America card so often it makes me want to puke.

I wish we could just force all the Republicans to live in Arkansas or some other Southern state with the Klan and the Neonazis, and let the rest of us live in peace.

Yeah, cause that's the only type of people that live in the south, right? Jesus. I'm born and raised in the south and I'm neither a KKK member nor a neonazi. I'm in between liberal and conservative but what always strikes me as funny is how hateful the so-called "open-minded" liberals are. Sure, we are all for peace and tolerance.. just only with certain people (i.e. anyone but people whose beliefs we don't approve of or all southerners now, apparently). *rolls eyes*

Bush and his cronies consider America and its general population as nothing more than an expendable resource and they will do anything, fair or foul to keep themselves in power so they can continue to become richer and more powerful. I still love America, but I don't love what it has become.

Indeed! They care for no one but themselves, and they probably only put up with each other because they can't do it alone. It's like a group of Voldermorts. -_-;

Hear, hear. People seem to ignore that the country was founded by people who were unsatisfied with their government, and that to blindly support a corrupt, oppressive system is no more patriotic now than it was back then. Don't agree with the administration? You're a terrorist sympathizer, anti-American! Hello, McCarthyism! Never mind that the first great thing about America is the (theoretical) freedom to disagree with the government. People forget that the second amendment was put in there so that the citizens might have some defense against the government, should it get too powerful. The government doesn't want us to think about things like this, and people generally don't want to bother either, because it's easier to be sheep and let the government invade citizens' private lives without resistance.

Um, sorry, this seems to have turned into a mini-rant in itself. But, to sum up: yes, agreed!

Right! Everyone should disagree or be a bit suspicious of the government otherwise they'll run all over you. -_- It is annoying that we have to fight them all the time. And no one really wants too anymore since they are doping all of the food with MSG's. Maybe I'm a bit paranoid but I don't know. I've felt less drugged since I've moved here. MSG's are something they add to the food to make you eat more, then with more food you'll be calmer and fatter. It's all one big conspiracy man! I went offtrack a bit on your reply, sorry!

Yeah 9/11 was planned! And if Osama bin Laden actually did do something he should have been found or at least heard of by now. But no they keep letting him make "videos" (some fake I'm sure) and they're like "oh no, look at the crazy maniac making videos OMG we can't do anything!" Yeah right, they have spy satellites everywhere. I have no doubt they could find him if they wanted too. No one really even cares about bin Laden anymore though. I think most Americans are catching on that it's like some sort of joke ( ... )

Bush and the neo-cons need bin Laden free as a bogeyman-- he needs us as an occupying force as a recruiting tool.

AFAIK, the economy problems have been building a long time. Of course, war spending has made it vastly worse, because the whole country is in massive debt and can't afford much in the way of remedy, but the outsourcing of jobs to other countries is probaby the deepest root to the problem. If I was president, I would make an "foreign employee tax" for American companies. It would probably be a flexible thing, because, if they are in another country to make things to be used *there* we don't want to be punitive, but if they are firing US employees to hire in a sweatshop to make imports to t he US, the tax should make them think twice.
