Get Carried Away

I went to Leciester Square today hoping to catch a glimpse of the gals from Sex and the City. Crowds were huge as expected. Since my friends and I decided to stroll in around 530pm, the best spot we could stake out was pretty far away, behind some fencing on a grassy part of the square.

Crowds at the Odeon in Lecicester Square.

Sarah Jessica Parker was the first of the four to arrive, at around 6pm. She stepped out of a black sedan, and all the female fans erupted in a collective srceam. Since I was so far away, the only thing I saw was a flash of her green Alexander McQueen dress, and from thereafter, I was only able to follow her through the crowd because of the silly floral/acorn/butterfly headpiece she had affixed to the top of her head. All the girls around me were gushing "What is she wearing? Oh, she looks so cute!" but I'm sure the celebrity gossip websites are going to have a field day trashing the piece of Mother Nature growing out of SJP's head. But hey, I give her credit for being bold and fashion-forward.

See the green sprouts coming up from the crowd, on the right side? Yeah, thats her.

Everyone was screaming "SARAH SARAH!!!" and SJP gallivanted around for about an hour, signing autographs and posing for the hundreds flashes going off in her face.

The girl in the deep pink is Kristin Davis. She didn't really hang out with the fans much.

I would compliment this guy's outfit if he gave me his ticket to the premiere.

I saw Cynthia Nixon in her long black gown when she first arrived, but soon lost her in the crowd because the color of her dress didn't pop, so no pictures.

Since my crappy photos probably gave you a headache, here's what the stars really looked like.

Okay so yeah, the hat is a bit over the top, but at least it's memorable. All four ladies looked lovely, but SJP's look is the only one that I'll remember. The headpiece reminded me of an on-steroids version of the black hat she wore in the "Scrunchy" episode with Jack Berger.

I'm going to go fail my final exams now.
