I've been playing Gears of War on the xbox the past couple days. I haven't played a straight-up shooter since the original Doom was still state of the art.

Holy hell, what a difference...umm...14 years makes.

Well... Back to seeing if I can get PTSD from a game.

You want PTSD? Play Call of Duty 4 and/or Left 4 Dead.

I can't recommend Left 4 Dead enough.

Try Bioshock. I don't know if you'll get PTSD, but I found it pretty fucking creepy (of course, all first person shooter games creep me out - I got 007 for N64 way back when and never played it because it scared me). Assassin's Creed is another game that's pretty awesome; it's not a first person shooter, but it involves a lot of strategy and the plotline is quite interesting.
