I had such a weird dream last night. That'll teach me to watch the news before bed. Though I do feel terrible for those people who lived in that building. There's something wrong with the world today. But, anyway, I'll tell you about my dream. . .

A tall building made of slender sheets of metal and glass stood off in the distance about 100 to 200 yards. Two women ran from the front entrance, the doors banging open as one with blond hair and the other with lime burst forth. "MOVE!" shouted the blond to her partner, their arms pumping at their sides. Hiyori wore long pants, her black leather jacket unzipped in the front and flapping at her shoulders while the long tail swung around behind her. On her feet were heavy boots that pounded at the pavement, crushing rubble and trash in their path. Dirt smeared her face, her hair that was usually tied up unbound with the spikes ripping around.

At her side ran Mashiro, her shoulder length, neon hair bouncing on her shoulders. Sassy black pumps cover her feet, the laces hard and going up her calf until stopping just below the knee. Dark Bermuda shorts cling to her thighs and fall low on her hips, a bra in the same deep black color covering her breasts. They have straps going over her shoulders as well as crossing the collar and back. Around her neck sat a band, thick and sturdy, holding up the center of some strange cape that scalloped once to the left and right behind her to attach to cuffs on her forearms.

"GO GO GO!" shouted Mashiro back to Hiyori. They ran on to put as much distance between themselves and the building that was about to explode. Looking to their respective outside left or right, the girls saw Kensei and Risa running over and flanking them. Kensei was dressed similarly to Hiyori, though his long trench jacket was closed. Risa wore a slimming fuku of leather, the pleated skirt barely managing to stay down around her thighs as she ran.

"How much longer?" asked Kensei through a roar up to either of the women in front of him. Neither knew, Mashiro throwing up her hands in annoyance as Rose and Love came up beside the second pair in the arrow. Rose, with his ruffled collar torn and Love with his glasses broken, pushed on at their sides.

A helicopter swooped in above, Hachin flying. The loud blades spinning through the atmosphere while Shinji swung on the ladder hanging from the body of the craft. Reaching out for the nearest hand, he hauled Risa up onto the ladder first. She looked back at the five on the ground and then up at the building. Time slowed, her mouth opening in a cry that dragged on for an eternity.

And suddenly Mashiro and Hiyori stopped running. The group kept on, the two falling back quickly. Mashiro turned round and held up her arms just slightly higher than parallel to the ground. And she then lifted from the ground, picked from the asphalt several feet as a barrier rose up like a curtain from the floor. Glass thrown from the building as it exploded, metal shards and pieces of this and that flew toward them. Mashiro let out screams of pain as they hit the wall, as if they were hitting her as well. Hiyori leaned into her heels as her hands came together in a vicious clap. A wave of energy tore across the path in front of her, fanning out fifty feet to her left and right. The debris turned into dust and fell to the ground, Mashiro collapsing with it as the remains of the building burned.

The helicopter swung around, Shinji leaping off of the ladder and taking his comrade in his arm. Hiyori climbed up the ladder, Shinji holding Mashiro standing on the third from bottom rung. The Vaizard left the scene in one piece, though their barricade was left to heal with scars across all of the front of her body. While she had not been struck directly, it would seem that the wall was like a piece of herself.

So weird, right?
