A Livejournal rant

Jan 11, 2011 13:52

 LiveJournal services are extremely expensive, I have to admit.

I thought of a name that I really adored to rename my Livejournal account but $15 or 1500 tokens for a rename token is just too much. Despite the fact that the currency is obviously in USD, it's going to cost me double the price as my currency is in New Zealand Dollars (NZD). I could ( Read more... )

Yes, they are indeed very expensive, dear~ ;w; *feels the same way as you do*

15USD is very, very expensive, yes. And my situation is much worst than yours because RM3.50 here only equals to 1USD there (or less). *sighs* Not to mention that I would love to get more userpics too... T_T

I guess I could grow to live with the ads, but the worst thing is that, let's say I love this username: skyhigh and this skyhigh journal has been deleted and purged, right? But that doesn't mean you can register the name for free! You'll have to purchase a rename token as mentioned in your post above.

Urgh. That's why I kept mist-ball as my personal journal and made crystalorb into my writing journal. I'm just too poor to rename my LJ. OTL

Sorry for the extra long comment, dear! I couldn't help it too! TwT

Ehe, I don't mind long comments. :3

Ugh, I know what you mean.

To be honest, I don't mind the ads because I don't see them anyway. I installed this ad-blocker addon on my browser which basically solves the problem. :D -sneaky-

I hate it when you thought of a good name and you have to pay for it in exchange for SOLELY making up the name. Sheesh. -_-

That's good. I was worried I wrote too much! ;w;

What kind of ad-blocker? May I try it out too? I'm using Firefox though~ :3 Hehe, being sneaky in that way is good 'cause it's not against the rules! xD

Yeah. That'd be a bummer... =_="

Well, I'm using Google Chrome but I used to use the addon on Firefox as well.

If I'm no mistaken, I believe it's called 'Ad-Blocker'. Tell me how it works for you when you installed it! :)

You can say that again. -_- I mean it's just a RENAME token. Other even more popular sites charge you for free to rename something. I don't think it's worth the pay for what we'll get. :(
