With mine, it's mom that's more obvious. She threatened to leave NY if Hilary became Senator...and they did.

Such rebels we are ;)

I'm predicting a Clinton/Obama ticket ...

... which is alright by me. :)

Being an independent, I have nothing against a democratic candidate, but Hillary has to much of a “I will do ANYTHING to win” attitude for me. Just can’t trust her. Obama I liked, but I have heard family ties with the Saudis and him growing up in a radical fundamentalist Mosk, may hurt his political chances. Even read reports that Hillary’s people are looking into this personally as a political ace to pull out if need be.

Anyways sounds like the start of the usual political mud slinging that always goes on.

meh...

aside from the fact that she's a bit too DLC for my tastes, I've always held that if the GOP is gonna destroy my party's candidate, then I don't want them turning in last week's homework.

Damaged goods.

I hate to be a wet blanket here, but Hillary Clinton as the Democratic candidate in 2008 would be the Republicans' wet dream. It might be the only thing that would let them salvage the election.

Hillary-fans don't seem to recognize the degree of sheer foaming-at-the-mouth HATRED for her that's still out here. She's got 3 strikes against her before she even opens her mouth: "East Coast liberal", woman, and her hubby. If you thought the Swift-Boating attack on Gore was extreme, you don't even want to THINK about what would be done to her.

Me, I hope that she has (1) the sense to realize this herself, and (2) the discipline to sideline her own ambition for the good of the country. Maybe by 2016 or 2020 she could make a run with some chance of success. Right now, it would be tantamount to handing over the car keys to a drunk 16-year-old.
