Looks like my public email addy is getting mailbombed again, probably by another disgruntled spammer. I'm going to intentionally fill the mailbox to force everything to bounce back to sender for a while.

Stupid idiotic spammers. >.<

Well, most spammers are smart enough to spoof IP addresses and falsify return addresses. So chances are they won't be getting the return notification.

I know the bastards won't get the notifications.
But I won't be getting their spam.

Actually, I've found that I can use the ISP's parental controls to set a list of friendly email addresses - any other addresses go straight in the bit bucket, so they never taint my mail queue. Since I pretty much know the 20/30 addresses that I ever get mail from, I can live with this solution for now.

Longer term, my lovely short addy is probably doomed, since too many spamming shysters are actively trading it now...

BTW, most of today's crapload of spam was actually mail delivery failures, being sent to me, coz Mr Spammer has been forging my address in the from line.

Believe me, I know all about their little tricks. Sadly, there are spamming progs out their that'll let you forge every part of the header, including all IP addresses - it's hardly worth chasing the buggers any more... >.<
