last night we ordered the first stage of chicken farming - a basic little coop and run that mister will expand and upgrade (and secure - we're incorporating technology!) a bit before we even get the little dinosaurs. i'm so excited! we have dreams of making a wild west town for our chickens and goats and while that may be too much to realistically

Gardening is BIG business, ps!

When I used to go to the gym, almost regularly you'd see someone f-up on the treadmill and go backwards and it was funny to see, but you didn't want to laugh outloud because it looked like it would hurt but you couldn't help but lol (silently)! whew. I hope you didn't fall anyway. you will get the hang of it, I'm sure! My SIL has a walking pad under her standing desk and she does all kinds of stuff while walking. I think she's very coordinated!

i have rarely had a mishap on a real treadmill, but when i did i cracked up myself. lol these walking pads are just too short - for being a relatively short person, i have a long stride (mostly because i've had to keep up with tall boyfriends and a tall husband). plus, it's narrow, so there's no room for wandering about. =D

my dad's garden was massive and i think we fed the population of my hometown with free tomatoes during the summer. every year he'd say he wasn't going to plant as many tomatoes, but he always did. ;) my guess is my garden is going to be massive and overwhelming and i'm going to complain quite a bit that it's too much work and that i don't know how to grow things in this zone. then next year? more seeds.

Chickens sound like so much fun! I'm personally a little intimidated by the idea, but it sounds like you know what you're doing.

i have little to no idea what i'm doing, but we have a deep knowledge base so i'm going to utilize that every step of the way. plus, youtube has the answer to everything. lol (and i'm intimidated a little, too - they ARE little dinosaurs and you can just tell in their little pea brains they're aware that they are no longer apex predators and aren't happy about it)

Chickens are so much fun. I miss having chickens around...

i'm pretty jazzed about it! it will still be awhile....the ground is frozen still and we need to build out a better run for them. patience is a virtue i struggle with.
