Dear Yuletide Santa

Dear Yuletide Santa,

Thank you so much for taking the time this holiday season to write me a story!!! I really appreciate your time and effort; and I'm so excited to see whatever you come up with!!

THINGS I LIKE
• A journey that a character goes on, both physical and emotional
• Exploring issues with the author's text, specifically: plot holes, missing character motivations, making moments of bad canon-writing make sense, fix its
• Strong, intense relationships, both romantic and otherwise
• Kissing. I love the anticipatory UST of first-time-kisses especially!
• I like both traditional and innovative writing styles
• Really strong, inspiring female characters
• Women in key active roles
• Age as a component to a person's character. As someone who has written and read Jack O'Neill and Nick Jonas a lot, I really enjoy the exploration of being old, being young, the expanse of time, etc
• Self-doubt
• Separation and return
• SPIES

THINGS I DO NOT LIKE
• Non con
• Describing a scene in the text as if you're writing a novelization of an existing scene. I've seen it before, don't spell it out for me again
• First person POV
• Sweeney Todd (extreme darkness, horrifying violence, senseless brutality)
• On the other side of the spectrum: kittens and unicorns and rainbows~ (no fluff plz; nothing cutesy)
• Lack of consequences
• Incessant angst and unearned happy endings
• Original characters in central roles
• When the female characters are sidelined, ignored, and avoided
• Smug protagonists
• Underage sex
• Will Schuster

PROMPTS

RED (2010): Frank Moses/Sarah Ross, Victoria/Ivan Simanov [Het]
Post-film, how do Frank and Sarah work as a couple? Do~ they work as a couple? (I want to say HECK YES, but you can convince me otherwise). What do they do? Alternatively or in parallel: what about Victoria and Ivan? And what happens when Victoria checks in on Sarah to make sure she's not breaking Frank's heart? Romance is a must; happy endings optional. Bonus points for including William Cooper.

THINGS I LOVE ABOUT RED:
- Everything about Frank and Sarah's relationship, from their awkward phone conversations to how he KIDNAPS HER~ to how they just sort of roll with it when everyone assumes they're otp to how she revitalizes him/how he thrills her to how well they work together as a spy couple. IDK. It's messed up and it's so fabulous. ; Discussion on aging~ and how you're still the same person and still pretty badass despite not being as young as you once were ; BEST FRIENDS. So much best friendyness ; HELEN MIRREN AS A STONE COLD FOX WITH A GUN ; Everyone's nostalgia for the Cold War ; William Cooper's cute hair ; the brutal nihilistic life of a spy vs. the longing for family/relationships ; the context of “you have beautiful eyes” :D :D :D

PUSH (2009): Nick Gant/Cassie Holmes [Het]
Post-film, total full on Nick/Cassie romance with a heavy dose of world building and action/adventure. Note: no sexytiemz till she's 18~. I want it shippy, I want it fun, I want them on a mission to tear down Division, I want them to be head over heels in love, I want angst, I want some epic shit, I want to learn more about everyone's powers, om nom nom. Push. <3

EXTRA NOTE: If you are squicked about Nick/Cassie, then I’m good with just a good solid gen story about them being partners in crime. Just don’t ship Nick with Kira, please!

THINGS I LOVE ABOUT PUSH:
- WORLD BUILDING, omg THE WORLD BUILDING IN THAT MOVIE *___* ; the amazing chemistry between Chris and Dakota ; TEAMWORK! ; the use of color in the film ; being on a mission of epicness ; how, in this war, you literally cannot trust anyone because of Pushers ; coming into your own ; importance of family

PRINCE CASPIAN (2008): Jadis, Peter Pevensie, Edmund Pevenise, (Caspian) [-]
I would like an AU in which Caspian OR Peter takes Jadis' outstretched hand. WHAT HAPPENS??
Two caveats: (a) I am head over heels for the relationship between Jadis and Edmund, so make sure Edmund's role in the AU is some kind of angsty fun and discussed and (b) don't sideline Lucy and Susan, keep them somehow useful to the story. Also: I love the Prince Caspian movie to distraction, including all the major/minor characters, so. Go wild, go epic.

EXTRA NOTES:
- I wrote a Prince Caspian AU myself - if you do this prompt, please read it to see what I like and to see what I've already done.
- IF THIS IS A DIFFICULT PROMPT or whatever, then pretty much anything involving King Edmund the Just as the ultimate badass will make me the happiest girl in the world.
- And you're welcome to ship any Pevensies with each other or Caspian, etc, if you wish.

THINGS I LOVE ABOUT PRINCE CASPIAN, THE MOVIE:
- Unlike most, I guess, I LOVED HOW DARK AND FOREBODING AND ANGSTY IT WAS, ughhh it was so perfectly dark and sad with invasive Telmarspain and angsty Pevensies! ; the movie’s complete messing with CS Lewis’ text in places to make it darker and more a cohesive story, true to how various characters would feeeeeel ; JADIS SHOWING UP TO KICK ASS AND TAKE NAMES IF SHE COULD JUST GET SOME DUDE TO TAKE HER HAND. What a badass ; Queen Prunaprismia being so hardcore! ; General Glozelle!!! <3___<3 ; use of the 1940’s England backdrop ; “It’s King Edmund, actually.”

THANKS AGAIN. Whatever you write in these universes will be a treasure to me!

xoxo
