I take it by now you've all seen his broadcast, and as such... you're probably wondering just what this guy is on. I... suppose now that he's here I can't run from this shadow, even if I wanted to in the first place. He goes by "Ansem," though if I know anything, it isn't his true name and even so... you don't want to get on

Phew, is he always like that? Oh, before I forget, do you need any assistance with handling him? [As much as Joshua doesn't like to sweat, he'll make an exception only for Riku. Because he knew him when he was here. Oh, dear, this time thing's confusing.]

You honestly have no idea. I'm at Luka's right now, if you want the info dump on this particular idiot. [He smirks faintly, before growing serious once more.] I've been talking with Axel and Demyx in an attempt to get everyone from our World on the same page [With two exceptions] and come up with a plan. Right now, we're just making sure those of us who are less battle-seasoned are safe.
[He needs all the help he can get, bro... and he won't say with exactly what over the SFC just in case it gets hacked.]

The info dump would be wonderful. There are some surprises I don't like. [That's okay, Joshua will be pretty relaxed and somewhat unserious for the both of them!] A good idea. No need to worry about my household and I; our looks are deceiving.
[Is that a hint of danger in his eye? Nah. Joshua sees that look and...smiles with somewhat false innocence.]
By the way, want to take a walk through the city? It'd be nice to get reacquainted, don't you think? [Read: Powwow time?]

The feeling is mutual. [How do you think he ended up like this in the first place? And good for him; also, dammit, when did he become Neku? :|] I can tell, somewhat.
[He is not falling for the false innocence, man; just saying. He sees right through those words, nodding.]
Alright. Need to get reacquainted with the city's layout, anyway. [Oh, the deja vu...]

Joshua can only imagine how he ended up like this. Mm, Riri's been Neku ever since you apped back in. |3] Only somewhat? Though, I suppose the barrier does provide a hindrance.
[Riku would never, ever live it down from Joshua if he didn't see through it.]
Wonderful. Where would you like to meet? [So much of it will be had.]

It won't just be imagination, soon enough. Part of the infodump will end up admitting some of his own involvement in this madness. ...damn it.] I know it has for me, and hopefully for Ansem as well.
[He can see through a blindfold; he can see through false innocence easily. He takes a moment to reach out, focusing on that familiar darkness; there's visible shudder when he locates it.]
...The library. [Yep; and just you wait; they'll end up in the forest and he'll be able to smell the darkness that he marked the soil and lake with.]

[Oh, Riku, you're so special! Another nod.]
Wonderful, I'll see you there! [Click! Oh, boy, will that be fun to explain.
Anyway, he's at the library (the cheater, teleporting over to it instead of walking), calmly and casually waiting for Riku to arrive. He has a feeling that there will be much to discuss.

[Say that out loud. We dare you. 8| He ends the feed on his own before informing Luka what he's doing then following suit (also a cheater, passing through the corridors like it was nothing to get there shortly after Joshua). At least now he knew where this one location was so he could use the quick route. Seeing Joshua already there, though... Eyebrow raised, man.]

I was luckily nearby. [Untrue, though he was in the city...somewhere. Joshua gestures for him to follow as he walks away from the library, staying true to the whole "tour around Vatheon" part.] So. How can I help?
Reply
Riku follows silently, occasionally glancing around and making sure no one was following them. Blame the multiple assassination attempts.] I won't pretend to remember whatever you and the previous me went through, [he began, crossing his arms. This was a doozy...] -but I can venture a guess as to what he'll try to do sooner or later, and if it's anything to do with what he has back home.
[He shakes his head; he's getting too old for this crap.]
I'm not about to pretend that I remember anything... [a pause.] He's not trying anything right now, so there's little we can do other than keep an eye out and make sure everyone is safe. [Though, now he's curious-] We can't summon thing from the outside, right?
Reply
He doesn't look it, but he's pretty cautious himself. However, with Riku around as his hypersensitive watchdog, for lack of a better term, he can afford a small relaxing of his guard. The teen shrugs.] Honestly, I don't care if you remember me or not. I will say that I've offered my assistance numerous times to you while you were here, and personally I see no reason to quit, memories or no memories.
[Okay, so he fibbed when he said he didn't care. He does, he really does care. Yet, this Riku has no reason to trust him, and for that fact Joshua is going to keep some distance, not wanting to force anything on the other teen. Riku's got enough on his plate with Ansem around, after all.]
Guesses are better than nothing. They help to prepare you for situations you can predict. I suppose having a nightlight while he's here will be good to have.
[He hums, thinking.]
Also, where are you planning on giving us information about that character?
Reply
Even memoryless... He'll never escape those jokes now, will he? Though, was that true or not?] ...I'll take your word for it.
[Was that a lie? Either way, he doesn't show that he might think that Joshua had fibbed or not for regardless... he's being forced to trust others and this is the second person to tell him that they've helped him in the past--their past and his future? who knows--and he has little choice should anything turn ugly.]
Light doesn't distance you from the darkness; only makes it more apparent.
[Someone learned that the hard way. And right now... he has to work on who to trust, who he can divulge this information to... Hm.]
It depends on his current location, and with a certain roadblock... it's hard to tell.

No, never.]
And darkness can make even a small light all the brighter. A drop of white paint in black paint can still turn it grey when you blend them together.
[Joshua thinks about that for a moment.]
I do have some minor sensing capabilities. With a dark presence like his, I think even someone with an inkling of a sixth sense could sense him.
[Not really minor, but THIS Riku doesn't know that. Sorry, Riku, this guy likes to surprise people.]
Reply
Riku nods faintly at that remark; it was something he'd seen with his own eyes, even though he was still tainted by it. And... minor? Eyebrow raised yet again, but he's taking it all with a grain of salt. That sixth sense comment...]
... Sora didn't.
[Oh, the can of worms this all brought up.]
Reply
Ah, yes, I've met him before. Charming kid. Still, having a "sixth sense" isn't always obvious. It could be just getting a "bad vibe" from someone, something, or a certain situation. For most, it's not conscious. Only a few people consciously sense for something, and the strength varies from one person to another.
["Can of worms" just describes these two perfectly.]

[Until it was too late, that is. And... Sora's still horrible with his choice of words. -- And yes, yes it does.]
