Oh oh oh!

The opening part is so tenderly sad. It made me well up! Particularly thie line about Booth wearing the face he only wears when he thinks Brennan isn't looking - and his compulsion to be the one that fixes everything (and everyone).

And then the lighthearted squint reveal was delicious. I adore your writing - everyone is so real and grown up and believable, you know?

*needs more*

Btw, that thing of scribbling down little bits that come to you for the next chapter, three chapters down the line, the last chapter? SO familiar!

You shall have more! Hope (optimistically) to finish Ch 3 this weekend.

The line about Booth's face was actually one of the scribbled down bits.

There is one advantage to there being so long in between updates ... it gives me a legitimate excuse to go back once again & re-read what happened previously - & I am not just referring to chapter 1 - I have literally lost count of how many times I have read the original 'Moments'. I may have mentioned once or twice (or a million times) that I love that fic ( ... )

So glad to hear you think I managed to keep B&B IC. A sequel to my very first Bones fanfic that has become AU after everything we've found out about the characters since, is perhaps not the wisest of choices, but once I set my mind on something...

There will be more! My intention, if RL does not get in the way, is to finish Ch 3 and post before I go away for a couple of days on Monday.

Thank you ♥ I've missed fic writing. I'm lucky to have job where I get to write, but the last few months it's been the kind of brain draining writing that makes it difficult to go home and write fic.

Oh Margaret... I really liked her, so I'm sorry to see her go. But her loss sets up a lot in this story.

Margaret going is the idea that made me start thinking about a sequel. Without it, there wouldn't be a part II. At least she's my creation, so I'm not toppling off any of the show characters!

Did think about leaving the humor for a later chapter, but decided against it. Happy to hear the contrast worked for you. The inside out T-shirt part it quite short so considered cutting it, but that's one darling I didn't kill in the end :)
