Curiosity, I believe. A certain change has come over me, as of late... a change for the better, I must hope. That change would seem to originate from you. I believe he is curious about what sort of person could manage a thing such as that.

Given that he expressed his desire to meet you to me, rather than you yourself, this conclusion would seem to be the most logical.
