"Jeannette," House repeats. As soon as he's close enough, he grabs her by the chin and tilts her face to look up at him. "Explain exactly what you're doing.'
This time, House catches her by the shoulder, just firmly enough that she can't pull away. "Listen to me, Jeannette. I am not going to get rid of you, and I never will. You're my girl, and that's not going to change just because we also have Michael and Gabe now. But you do not get to run away, or go wherever you want, or do what you want, just because you're upset with me or Papa. We love you, Jeannie, and you scared me by trying to run away. Don't ever do that to me again. I need you, honey."
