I know what you mean about the accident. I was nearly crushed by a Dodge once - I was in my Blazer, but that van was way bigger. It only took out my mirror (driver's side), luckily, but I was literally two and a half inches from dying. I was fine until I realized that, then I went into shock. The guy in the other car was really nice after that (he'd been yelling at me, saying it was my fault). So the cop that we'd called. He talked to my mum to get her to come get me (I was crying too hard), and even waited with me until she got there (I was in Lowell, getting onto the highway home when it happend). I'm really glad everyone got out okay, and I promise that remembering it won't be too traumatizing in a couple of months.
I hope you start feeling better, too. Being sick sux, and it sounds like you got the worst of it. Can I reccomend going to the doctor, just to make sure it's not something especially nasty, like pneumonia?
