Do any of you still get the letters from the PTA, with recommended school supplies? They're illegal in both the Poway and Ramona districts. That is wrong in so many levels.
Illegal?! Wtf!?!
We never got letters sent to us, but sometime in July, there would be a big cardboard... thing... set up at the entrance of Wal-Mart with little folders attatched to it that had a list of school supplies that you needed for each school/grade. It was awesome. You just found your school, then your grade, and off you went. If you were like me, you bought 57547 things that weren't on the list that you never used.
But that stops after the 6th grade:(. Now I have to go to school for the first day, and take notes about what each teacher wants you to have, and then go shopping after school. Not as fun, but still AWESOME because school supplies rock my world. I used to buy the supplies the first day the lists were out and re-organize and label and pack everything every single day until school started.
