Well Im having a fantastic week here on the beach. Sun (a bit too much) and surf. It's a great way to relax before starting school this coming week. I just got some interesting emails today. They indicate that I am going to be a TA (woohoo) but they didn't directly say that I got funding. I have my fingers crossed. The class I got is intro Bio,

yay, lindsey! congratulations! i didn't realize you would be starting so soon - good luck. you'll be an awesome TA.

also, i don't know if you watch much of the colbert report, but stephen colbert recently had a running gag where he wanted to get a spider named after him because a biologist at east carolina had recently named one after neil young, whom stephen apparently hates. he had the biologist on the show recently to talk about the spider that had been chosen, and i thought of you! :)

Yeah! It's been in the papers here a ton! I have yet to watch the actual episodes but it's awesome that the bio department is getting such great press... even better that I get to join said bio department :) But I certainly won't be anywhere near the spiders (yech).
