Pieces of life

All the pieces of life have consumed me this summer.  First I got stuck working on/ fighting with a piece of art.  I think I have never had such a time finishing a piece. I would work on it for a few hours and then leave in disgust. Not want to go into the studio and when I did I would just clean and do yoga instead of working.  Anyway after a few ( Read more... )

This is BY FAR my favourite piece I have seen from you! I can't describe why... it just captivates me.

It has tons or layers and a great deal of intention. I planned this one for months before starting. It really is odd how mixed the opinions about it are. I'm glad to hear another positive vote.

I like it though it is not my favorite of the ones you have done.
I have a welded tree that I have been working on for twenty years and have not finished, it is almost.
Keep going is all I can say.

How big is your tree? I am picturing you as a bonsai artist only with a metal tree instead of a live one. Maybe as you put the last leaf on it will come to life.

I actually started another big piece this weekend. I think I just needed a break and getting stuck made me do that. I have been going strong in the studio for a long time without much time off.

Thanks, I'm so glad everyone was still watching even as I had stopped posting. It felt all warm to see comments in response this morning.

Wow. I think this is my favorite too! I like the way it makes you feel like you've been let in on a treasured secret. You are showing the audience specific information, but also leaving out just enough information to keep us guessing a little. This mysterious quality keeps me intrigued and keeps me looking at it. Kudos, my dear. Anna K., Savannah
