This is the piece I pushed to finish for the grant proposal. It was one of the first plexiglas pieces I started and it just stalled. After practicing some techniques on smaller pieces I figured out how to finish.

Neglectful Blogger
Apologies for not blogging recently. I have been caught up in grant writing. Oh so fun. I did start to have a moment or two of panic and remembered my resolution to stay calm and just do it. At the last minute I decided that a piece I had stalled on would have to be part of the proposal. This of course only put more pressure on the process. ( Read more... ) -

Frustrated today at not having enough time to look for galleries. Anybody out there know of one or three that would just love my work?
Grant deadline in creeping up on me too. Making slow progress. I just can't seem to find enough words. Writing in not my forte. -
Party Report
Some how a great deal of my friends were doing other thing last night. I had a great time with the ones that did show for the party. This was a co-production...two girls entering a new decade. Here are the birthday pieces. Colored pencil on the front and acrylic on the back. There is a 1" thick board on the back making it float from the wall.

Brithday
My birthday was Monday :D Spent the weekend camping, biking, kayaking and swimming. Yesterday made art. I really meant to post it today but my day job got in the way. Hopefully tomorrow I will get to it. -
Finished! Yahoo!!!
Final title is "The evening tide appeals to the tormented sun". Not at all what I usually do for titles, but it seems to work for me on this one.
