I hit the the lorry while travelling about 30 miles per hour and my left hand front bumper hit the lorry rear driver side wheel my bumper took the hit very well there wasn't even much of a crumple in ( Read more... )

I have only one insoluble problem with this accident.

Just HOW do I get my girls to understand that
a I'm hurting(less already)

b We no longer have a car so we have to walk round the village now.

WE have just been out in Beth's car for me to do some shopping and them to see if they were frightened of cars now. I got my shopping done and no way are they frightened of Beth's car at least. They were fighting to get into it.

I'm glad you're all OK, if shaken and bruised! Did they x-ray you? I ended up with a cracked rib after a Caddie hit us a couple of years ago and didn't realise till it moved a few days later and aaaaagh, the agony! Not that they do anything with ribs; I just had to take painkillers.

The paramedic in the ambulance that attended gave me a good going over and passed me fit to come home if I wanted to. He said that they didn't do anything even if I did have a broken rib, which he didn't think I had, all I would get would be pain killers. And since I'm on pretty powerful painkillers for my arthritis I decided to go home. Going to A&E would have entailed many hours sitting waiting to be seen. The average waiting time at our nearest is 6 hours and I have waited with someone for 10 hours.

Very sorry to hear about the accident - it must have been a nasty shock for all of you. Glad the girls are safe and hope you recover from your injuries quickly, and all of you from the upset.

The surface bruising is no longer hurting but now I can feel the deeper bruising om my ribs but it is all fading slowly, I was actually a lot calmer than the young woman who was driving behind me and stopped to see if I was alive. She was shaking like a leaf when she opened my car door I wasn't.

I suppose you knew, despite the shock, that you weren't seriously injured, whereas she must have feared the worst... I hope all the bruising goes away before too long, and I'm glad to hear that the dogs aren't afraid of the car.

Yikes! So sorry you had that terrible experience! But also glad the doggies didn't get hurt. And that your injuries weren't worse - they're bad enough as is! Take care of your self (I know, you have been) and watch for the good healing vibes I'm beaming your way!

My own fool fault I should have been looking at the road not the sky, I'm healing slowly but surely and my girls are becoming less klingy which shows they are getting over the shock. Cousin Beth took us all to the supermarket this evening for me to stock up and to see if Kandi and Saffron were frightened of getting in a car. No promlem the were fighting each other to see who would get in first.

Thanks for the healing vibes, they might speed up the rate. Surface bruising is much less painful but the deeper bruisinf on my ribs id giving me yelps every time I stand up or sit down.

I hope you are healing rapidly and are up and around as usual, if not right now, then soon! Give the dogs some pettins for me.
