I took the leftovers to my new neighbors family. They have a 9-year-old boy who didn't go trick-or-treating. I'm not sure why not. Anyway, I had 3 full bags leftover. I'm not good with candy in the house.

Have you ever tried the rope Twizzlers? There are nine strands of thin licorice you can unravel. Quite tasty. I've made Chrismice cookies using them for tails. A ball of dough is shaped into a mouse body. Two halves of a peanut are pushed in for ears and 2 dried currents are used for eyes. I use a wooden skewer to make a hole for the tail and then bake them. As soon as they are out of the oven, I shove the skewer in again and place a licorice string in while the cookies are still hot. Burned my fingers every time.

My sister once worked in a hotel and Denver as a chef. John Denver and Annie Murry filmed a Christmas Special in the lobby. John Was sitting near the fireplace and there was a plate of cookies next to him on a table. On the plate were some of my Chrismice cookies and my sister's cookies as well. On TV! How cool is that?

I swear that every time I try to weigh myself, one of my cats is behind with a paw on the scale!
