Xander studies the small town ahead, turns to the woman in the RV passenger seat. “Trap?”
She nods. “Definitely.”
He sighs. Doesn’t matter, they’re low on gas, food. (Lots of bullets, but more would help.) “We can still pull it off.”
“Approach from a blind side,” she agrees after a moment. “Yes, that’ll work.”
He backs up, turns toward a side road, to come in from the other direction. She’s checking their weapons.
If Willow was still alive, and Jesse, and Sunnydale not lost … But wishes aren’t horses.
He hopes they won’t have to kill any actual people this time.
