  • Got the house presentable.
  • Taught a handful of people how to build self-watering planters.
  • Hosted a Games Night with terse_scribe.
  • Met with doverider regarding how to remove the unloved shrubbery from the future raised bed intended for herbs and flowers.

Are you interested in buying some of that good charcoal (http://www.wickedgoodcharcoal.com/ ) I brought to your place last summer?

It's $19.95 +tax for a 22 pound bag if bought at the local stores, but, if we buy 3x22 shipped: $57.79 total $19.26/bag $0.88/pound

Hmm. Perhaps one bag? I don't know yet how much serious grilling and/or smoking we'll get done this year.

We did learn that a shop near us sells the Cowboy Charcoal, which as I recall, you thought was at least OK. Right?

Here's a good review of cowboy.

My opinion - burns too fast for smoking, but not bad for grilling, but cost/burntime ratio too high.

I'm going to buy three 22 pound bags, and keep two.

OK, I'll take your third bag, and probably horde it for any future smoking plans, since I don't even know where to buy it locally. I'll use the locally-available stuff for the grill.

I'd also like your advice about smoking woods. I don't often see anything in the local stores except for mesquite, and I'd like a wider variety.
