garden update

I've returned from Morris dancing in DC to find that the first of the snowpeas in the garden has sprouted, so I assume the others won't be far behind. Meanwhile, the herbs continue to green up and to grow, and I should be able to divide some of them pretty much any time now ( Read more... )

Nope, The Foggy Bottom Morris Men had their annual Cherry Blossom Tour. Sadly, the cherry blossoms were mostly past, and it rained for a good part of the day, but much fun was had by all.

I guess mine took just over a week. I think the stretch of cool weather right after I planted them didn't help much, but the weather looks pretty promising for this week.

And yeah, I'm no good with that patience thing, either. I think the only thing that really saved me at all was being out of town for 4 days.

Ooh...that means you got all of the hard ones to sprout! Well, I guess chamomile isn't hard, but rosemary and lavender can be challenging.
