I took the time to liveblog my reaction down on paper and basically it boils down to OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG WHAT IS HAPPENING OMG OMG WHY IS EVERYONE SO FUCKING AWESOME TEARS IN MY FUCKING EYES (OR IS THAT... HORMONES?)

- I am very greatly amused by the faction of people rabidly pairing Asami with Iroh. OH MY GOD THE SHIPPING FOR THIS SHOW IS FUCKING RIDICULOUS. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Korra/Mako (shut up, I am not embarrassed to say it's probably my OTP, tied with the Boner Amoeba) and I really really love my Korra/Everyone (GIRL, PLEASE) but I am not going to be a rabid ridiculous asshat about it. It makes me want to turn Pro-Bending Boners/The Boner Amoeba into a means of making fun of all the fucking shippers. Sev agrees. ("I MEAN I COULD GET INTO THAT. BUT CALM YOUR TITS, SHIPPERS." Sev has spoken.) CALM THOSE GODDAMN TITTIES, GIRLS.
- A complaint I keep running into regarding the show is how rushed the story is! If I recall correctly, there were originally supposed to be twelve episodes. And then Nickolodeon was all like "this is great! GIVE US MORE!" soooooooo... yeah. How the hell do you cram that much story into twelve seasons without making things feel rushed? Answer: You can't. It seems like Bryke just rolled with it, NOT SORRY TO SAY. I AM NEVER SORRY TO SAY.
- Someone please tell me I wasn't the only one giggling at General Iroh! Every time he spoke, I was waiting for him to go off about restoring honor and shit. It was distracting. BUT THEN HE TURNED OUT TO BE A TOTAL BADASS, SO I GUESS THAT'S OKAY
- Christ everyone on this fucking show is a total badass motherfucker
- Noatok bloodbending wolves to death made me cry. Fucking hormones.
- Can we talk about that Airbending block Korra had? Pretty please? I had a theory that it was there in the first place because of everything Airbending entails -- it's very Buddhist. It figures that Korra would have to take a few emotional pitfalls and learn compassion and non-attachment and love and all that. I think she dealt with the whole Asami/Mako thing like a fucking champ. It seems like this episode culminated in her just snapping and then BAM AIRBENDING and Amon was all WHAT THE FUCK BITCH I JUST TOOK YOUR BENDING AWAY and then Korra was like FUCK THAT SHIT, YOU STOP HURTING THE PEOPLE I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE
