...and the puppies are sleeping. I should be sleeping too. (And will be, quite soon.)

Did I mention we are dog-sitting for a relative who is away this summer due to work demands? It fills a gap; puppies are delightful, even if they're not my puppy.

lovely puppies. My 8 and half year old puppy jumped in the canal yesterday. Okay but a bit subdued today. I think he has pulled a muscle so I am resting him today. He has his grade 2 scent work test on Thursday. Lovely to see you on here.

So nice to see you here, too!

Oh, I hope the muscle isn't pulled or strained and, if it is, it heals quickly. Poor baby.

I had dogs when I was growing up but haven’t been able to have them since due to a lack of space. And at this point due to the fact that I have several cats. I dearly love animals and dogs are so special. Enjoy the puppies!

Two of our four cats have established dominance over the canine interlopers and stroll fearlessly and openly across the rooms in the main part of the house. The third cat has lately begun to creep out into the main part of the house but darts into hiding if a dog approaches. The fourth cat continues to confine herself to the back part of the house where the puppies are not allowed to tread. As a kitten living in someone's barn, she saw a sibling killed and devoured by a large, aggressive dog. I don't blame her for choosing to exile herself from the main areas of the house so long as the dogs are staying with us, poor love. We make a point of taking turns spending time with her there so she doesn't feel completely abandoned.

Oddly enough, she adored Panda, who was a large, exuberant dog (but never aggressive; a cat could eat out of her bowl while she was eating out of it, and often did). It was comical to see her head-rub Panda, who was respectful and even a little afraid of cats in general after the Eldest cat schooled her as a puppy ( ... )
