and I'll find strength in pain...

I don't value solitude. In sociolinguistics, it's generally recognized that humans are talking animals: we do it instinctually. If you want proof, say various authors of various related books and articles, just consider how uncomfortable you feel when you're with someone and not talking. And I know, for a lot of people, that's true ( Read more... )

It's so strange to think about people feeling like this. I second online dating. I mean sure, there are a lot of creeptastic guys online. But there are plenty of creeptastic guys in bars... and on the street... and that you can meet through friends... and at work... and everywhere really.

I also second Natasha's feeling of needing alone time. I think one of the main things I dislike in Keswick is that I never really feel alone. Even when I take a walk for 'alone time' there's a good chance I'll run into someone I know/who wants to talk.
I'd rather be alone always, than with someone always. Although I know both would be bad for me.

I don't really have the option. I can't be alone all the time, I need to make money and survive. I can't be with someone constantly, because I would drive them insane.
