A check of a suspicious-looking vehicle has landed a local internet company president in jail on drug and alcohol-related complaints.
An officer on patrol noticed a man sitting in a car facing the wrong way in a parking space along Monroe Blvd.
According to the police report, the officer said when he approached the vehicle he noticed “the distinct odor of raw marijuana from inside.”
The officer reported he found a clear plastic baggy of marijuana near the driver’s side of the vehicle. The driver, Russell D. Weiss was arrested on a complaint of possession of marijuana.
It is alleged that Weiss threatened the officer, stating, “I’m the president of one of the largest internet companies in New Jersey. I could make you disappear if I wanted to.”
