I found (and read and re-read) your fic "A Long Time Traveling Away From Home" from a rec on Multifandom Het Recs (http://het-reccers.livejournal.com/) - and I really ought to have commented on that one first, but when I saw that you had written another True Grit story, I just couldn't help my self and dove right into that one too.

Both fics are beautifully written and the characters' voices is perfectly rendered. It is very interesting that you manage to write such delicate prose (sort of spiderweb-ly and intricate) when the characters' lives are so harsh - I love the dichotomy of that. Actually - forget the big words: I just love your fics period.

I fully consider "A Long Time..." to be canon now - and I can't wait to read more of LaBoeuf, Mattie and Rooster's adventures!
