A Beginner's Guide to Apiology by VictoryCandescence - This has been making the rounds, so it's not exactly an exciting new find. But it's great and worth a look. Be warned: this is very sweet, but also sad. It's an au where Sherlock and John meet as old men in Sussex. (There is character death.)

Thanks for the recs you have been making. I did read the first fic, "Apiology". It is a wonderful thing to read a well-written piece. At the risk of sounding too twee to live a well written piece leaves me feeling "full" somehow, satisfied.

Thisprettywren is off an running again! Dear heavens that woman had me looking up as many words as I read for a while. She took mercy and has provided a dictionary that is an enormous help. I can't begin to imagine the work and planning that went into this piece but by the time she is finished and I have read and reread it I just might get some idea of it.

How is your apartment working out? Your kitty settled in?
