Oh, I like this a lot. River, warring with herself, and you can really feel the oppression of Stormcage, and it hits home as a reminder of everything River is giving up for the Doctor's secret. She may treat prison as a lark on the outside, but it's not. Whew, even I was relieved to hear the TARDIS wheezing into view at the end! :)

I imagine the burdening sense that she's going to be in there for the rest of eternity eases when she sees she has a choice.

I love the realistic approach of this fic :) I mean, people tend to gloss over her being in prison because the Doctor visits her and she can escape on her own, but it must still be a difficult and very unpleasant experience... So the prison admition scenes had, for me, this groundind and very real effect. I'd love to see where you're going with this :)
