Anger, in its many forms

I cry when I'm angry. I cry at other times too, but I always cry when I'm angry. I'm not sure how or why that started. I don't think it's normal. Sam and I had mentioned this when we had pre-marital counseling. I almost always cry when Sam and I argue. Our counselor asked if I did this to manipulate him or exert control over him or to get him to do

I don't think you're trying to manipulate anyone. I mean, you know, you'd be the only one who knows that, but even when I'm alone, when I get angry, sometimes I cry, because I'm upset about it. It's just natural.. maybe not for everyone.

Why would your pre-marriage coucilor ask such a leading question?

I think she was probably concerned because my mom is kind of a manipulative person. Apple not falling too far from the tree, and what not. I hate that expression too, cuz then everybody assumes that you're just like your parents. And I've seen some apples lying around in my yard, and I'm like "Dude, the apple tree is all the way over there. How'd it get here?" :P

Exactly! If the apple always fell close to the tree, then how would there be apples in Aomori?

Anyway, I think it's pretty evident that you're not your mom. For one thing, you're bright enough to see Sam for who he really is, and that you'll be great together. Of course people have stuff in common with their parents, but ... CRAP! I have to mail my thing for JET TODAY!!!

I cry when I am angry too - i can't help it either. I just get so overwhelmed with emotin that it bubbles over in tears. I cry when i am frustrated to - so you can imagine how messy it is to get angry, cry and then get frustrated that i'm crying! Sharon
