No excuses, just slightly cracky Flash!fic for the St. Patrick's weekend " Drinks!" challenge going on at jim_and_bones. A Nightmare is apparently a cocktail made with Gin, Madeira, cherry Brandy, and orange juice, which has nothing to do with the story but does in fact sound like a nightmare.

( It's a pretty common dream, after all )

Oh, Jim! Of course it was a nightmare! But I still love how careful Uhura and Spock were. And Bones' entrance was priceless!

I imagine Jim's dreams would be fairly accurate where the Bridge is concerned...but I'm glad his subconscious treats Spock and Uhura respectfully, at least!

Awww, awwww, frightened Jim and reassuring Bones. So much yes in there.

I love the way Jim kept looking for that one wrong thing in his dream and then it turned out to be Bones, which made it not just a dream, but a nightmare. Poor woobie. That gave even me the chills.

I know, it's awful how much fun it is to give Jim a hard time...at least he got to sleep a few more hours (total projection on my part--how I long for Saturday morning!)

This is so lovely. Jim's subconscious taking over while he sleeps. The bridge trying to ignore it all and Bones reassuring him once he woke is just perfect.

Aww, a naked dream! I've never actually had one of those. All of my nightmares feature me trapped in some very high place and unable to get down. (I'm bad with heights.)

I love how the various crew respond to Jim's nakedness, and Bones spooning Jim to give him a mini-pep talk. :-)

EEK I'm awful with heights, too--I'd hate having a dream about it! I've never had the naked dream but I've had the "late for an exam" one. I still do, even though I'm *mumble* years old.
