Gorgeous! Loved seeing Hikaru's promotion from Jim's perspective, how much he understands even if it's not been his ambition. Which, I have to say, was a beautiful explanation for Jim Kirk staying in the captain's chair.

Maybe Kirk is better grounded in version 2.0 and understands that he wants to stay with the Enterprise, promotions be damned. Conversely, nu!Sulu doesn't seem as much like the hardcore command type; lately, I've been think it's Uhura who might end up in the chair.

This was a really love intimate moment between the free of them. I especially like the idea that Jim is willing to let Sulu go so that he can grow in his career. I love grown-up!Jim the most :D
