So very sweet, but not saccharine-sweet. Lovely; and like others I laughed at the "trolls" comment. And what sail_aweigh said.

Somehow, you made me like a story about two characters I've never seen or heard of and had no background for whatsoever. I'm not sure how you did that, but I think it proves you have a real gift for AU's (since, as mentioned before, Tallulah Falls is probably my favorite AU in Trek fandom).

This was sweet, but I think hopeful is the best word to describe it. The idea of strangers offering comfort and support, instead of just turning a blind eye.

Unrelated to this - I didn't realize how long that other comment was. *sheepish* But I'm glad you took it in the spirit it was intended. Also, I do not accept your excuse about not writing a sequel to Tallulah Falls. :-p

There are worse ways to spend your Chris Pine gawking dollar than on Small Town Saturday Night, which is one of those depressing semi-autobiographical slice-of-life movies. Karl and his '80s wedge cut and loud shirts can be seen on YouTube--awww.

Your lovely comments of any length are welcome any time! Thanks for the polite nagging on "Tallulah Falls"--I'm thinking about it, really ;) Post-Big Bang, maybe.

I'd have to think of somewhere to go with it other than the obvious "Rhett goes to NZ on vacation and has to borrow Jamie's loud '80s shirts--hilarity ensues." On the other hand, now I know what to get you for your birthday ♥

*overlooks that that is like NINE MONTHS from now and focuses on the EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!*

Concept idea: over X years Rhett and Jamie keep running into each other at hotels, and sometimes they are happy and sometimes sad but everytime they get each other, and the last time they finally figure out they need to ditch the hotel thing and just be. *looks up with hopeful puppy eyes*

*resumes EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEing*
