Lovely. :) This:
They walk through Jim’s front door and Leonard tries to repulse the little ripple of home. Leonard is a den-wolf by nature; he likes to growl at the world from the warmth and safety of his cave.
is so very Leonard. :D

but you've got an open "i" somewhere...

*chinhands* *happy sigh* I love you and this fic.

(Also if I get any PMs about how much CA geography is wrong because of my awesome beta skillz, I'm sending them directly to you. ;))

I'm hoping we can both blame any geography!fail on Google, because I spent a lot of time looking at those hairpin turns on Google Earth.

Thank you soooo much for your wonderful assistance! I'm glad you like the way it turned out.

I am incredibly late to the party (started school again this semester on top of work) but I just wanted to let both of you know that your geography is fine ;) I haven't spent a ton of time in LA, but I'm good enough with learning my way around places and I've spent enough time there and driving the coast to be able to picture everywhere in the story and nothing jumped out at me as "Ack! Wrong!"

I wish I could work out some kind of offer, like Jim did to Leonard, and then you wouldn’t have to work and could write every day for my entertainment. How my heart leaped when I saw you’d posted this!

I remember falling in love with your work when Jim was flying a shuttle and he was so godamned sexy and, well then in this fic he drove the sports car and it just reminded me of that, which is really to say, I love your Jim so much. Honest and competent and good at everything but never smug and, see Leonard’s going to be great for him too.

I adored this, I loved the sex, how Leonard stopped being his cautious self and allowed himself to feel already and I adored the sense of place in this.

Need to sleep, bb, but I’m bringing happy dreams of sun-kissed Bones and happy Jim with me. Thank you, this is another of your fics I'm going to read and re-read!

You are too, too kind, though I assure you that even if you set me up the way Jim did Leonard, I probably couldn't write another word, because I'm a lazy procrastinator!

I'm amused that my competence kink is showing, but I really do think that that's the essence of Jim--not reckless heroism, but a learned self-control and the ability to guide others into the paths where they can do their best.

Your lovely comments thrilled me, sweetie, and I thank you so much for them and am glad I could entertain you for an hour or two!

Ooh, the surfing's a great analogy for what Leonard's about to embark upon. Mmm, perfect life. I really liked this.

But remember, it's California--sharks and earthquakes! Jim's right, though, money can buy you out of a whole lot of trouble ;) So glad you liked it!

Oh, man, I love this! You've got such a firm understanding of Jim--confident, commanding, compassionate; I adore your Jim. And Leonard can't help but agree to all his arrangements, because they just make so much sense!

Tell me if I've got this right: Stella=Uhura, Rob=Spock and Paul=Chekov. I loved the way Rob totally cut down the reality housewife to size, it made me LOL. He totally sounded like Spock without actually being Spock.

Is it too much to ask for more in this universe? I am so curious to see how Leonard adapts to living in California and the Hollywood lifestyle. Just what would it mean to the two of them if once he got out there they got closer and wanted to hook up permanently?

You are absolutely right (and you should know, since you're the Queen of All AUs ;) You see how well Spock and McCoy got along--opposites repel in all universes, apparently!

You're very kind to want more! In my mind the next chapter is a giant angstfest where Jim is summoned back to Iowa because Winona is ill, thereby showing his past is not as perfect as his present. I imagine Leonard settling in like a duck in water, though. I'd like to see him fall in with a bunch of writers and maybe end up as a consultant on a doctor show. Anyhow, thanks so much for reading!
